"Challenging diversity through art in its truest sense"

Mika KAMIJO began creating art after being hospitalized for a chromosomal abnormality at the age of 19, starting by drawing deformed faces of medical staff.
While battling a rare disease said to be one of only five cases in the world, she continues to create lively works every day with the belief that "to draw is to live, to live is to draw."
These are works created precisely because of the environment and experience of "rare disease." However, we believe that they are also works that transcend the "categories defined by people."
Another theme of this solo exhibition is the resonance of sensibilities that recognize diversity in its truest sense, without being confined to the category of "art by people with disabilities."

    "Jomon? Alien? What is this?"
The many passions that shake the viewer, hidden behind these questions. Please look forward to it.
