SHOGEN x Yuko MIZOBUCHI
《Human Exhibition》
In the laws of nature, all things live by giving and receiving.
This time, "SHOGEN" and "Yuko MIZOBUCHI" both chose works for their main visuals that coincidentally share the same title, "Awakening."
These are works created by both artists with their different styles and unyielding expressions, representing what was "lost" in the process of the meaning of "ningen" (human) changing from its original sense of social and cultural implications of "between people, the world, society" to a purer meaning of "person = human being."
The purpose of this exhibition is to re-examine the importance of looking at a large theme through the works of both artists, who have different approaches. In this age of social change and developing civilization, where many voices are calling for a rebalancing of life and values, these works were born from the desire for people to once again reconsider and feel the existence of human beings.
