Born 1973, based in Fukuoka Prefecture

In recent years, Comic 9 has been producing three-dimensional works primarily through a technique of laminating plywood and acrylic sheets.
The work gives form to images that arise in the artist's own mind — things the artist personally finds interesting.

Statement

When I was a child, the private parts of women who appeared in my dreams were always glowing — hidden from view.
Now, uncensored adult videos are just a click away on the internet.
I wonder if today's children can see things clearly, even in their dreams?

I too have gotten into the habit of googling anything I don't understand, looking for answers online and convincing myself I've figured it out.
In creative work, answers don't come so easily. That's exactly what makes imagining — and giving form to that imagination — so interesting.
