"My work aims to awaken the sensibilities of contemporary people.
My principles and style may be categorised as contemporary art, but I believe my work, and the soul and concern for humanity behind it, are diametrically opposed to contemporary art based on fundamentalism.
My work aims to rediscover and awaken the memories that have slumbered in your DNA since ancient times, to awaken the senses possessed by all living beings, and to reclaim your imagination. Art needs no explanation: it requires you to feel and imagine with your 'mind's brain,' not your 'logical brain.' It opens the eyes of your 'mind's brain'—I believe this is the power of art.
This may seem a bit long-winded, but in reality, my explanation itself is meaningless. I simply want you to use your mind's brain to see, feel, and imagine my paintings."

'frogTOPIA open' will exhibit the paintings of Japanese artist Yuko Mizobuchi. In response, Kwok Mang Ho, aka "Frog King", will exhibit a batch of new works, using art to connect with his fellow artist Mizobuchi.
Mizobuchi and Frog King have known each other for decades and have similar artistic ideas. After graduating from Osaka Designers College, Mizobuchi becomes a full-time painter. She founded her own gallery BrainBrunnGALLERY in Hachioji, Tokyo six years ago. In addition to holding exhibitions, she established an art award to support artists who believe in themselves and continue to create their own work. Both of them were convinced of the enduring role of art in opening the soul and caring for humanity, and achieved their art through enduringly focused technical forging.
To facilitate this exhibition, volunteers from 'frogTOPIA open' made a trip to Tokyo to visit Mizobuchi's gallery and brought back nine paintings. At the same time, Frog King creates new works in response to Mizobuchi's paintings, supporting each other and working together to evoke the sensibilities of contemporary people.
As it turns out, our mind really has a brain. It knows how to 'observe' and 'think'. This is where "sensibility" lies.

Started working as a freelance painter immediately after graduating from Osaka Designer's College.
As a contemporary artist, she has exhibited her works widely both in Japan and overseas, including in NY, LA, London, and Taipei, and has gained a high reputation.
She pursues a style of directly creating her works without any preliminary sketches, in order to embody the visions that have naturally sprung up within her since she was a child.
In recent years, she has established a unique expression method of directly carving a wooden board and coloring it with oil-based pigments, ink, and Japanese painting pigments.
She is convinced that the true purpose of art is to awaken the power of imagination by evoking the ancient memories that all living beings possess, and she devotes herself to her work every day.
Kwok Mang-ho (Frog King) is one of Hong Kong’s most celebrated contemporary artists and a pioneering
figure in Asian conceptual and performance art. Born in 1947,
he studied traditional Chinese ink painting and calligraphy before expanding his practice into performance, installation,
and mixed-media art in the 1970s.
Developing his distinctive vision of “Frogtopia,” he has created a unique artistic universe that
blends Eastern and Western cultural influences.
Active in New York during the 1980s, he gained international recognition for his experimental and interdisciplinary approach.
In 2011, he represented Hong Kong at the 54th Venice Biennale.
For more than five decades, Frog King has continued to explore the intersections of ink art, the body, play, and society, becoming an iconic figure in Hong Kong contemporary art.
