Federico Bartoli

Biography

Born in Milan, Italy.
He moved to Fukuoka, Japan about 10 years ago and has been creating paintings. After graduating from art school, he worked as a graphic designer while also creating paintings, and has presented his works in solo and group exhibitions in Italy and Austria.
After moving to Japan, he resumed his creative activities more seriously. He mainly prefers oil painting and line drawing, and creates works on the themes of imaginary creatures and nature.

Statement

I have loved drawing since I was a child and have drawn many pictures.
In Italy, I could see various paintings and sculptures in museums, and many street arts when I walked around the city.
Every time I saw them, my feelings reacted in various ways, and positive emotions like my heart dancing were born within me.
I hope that my own paintings are also somewhat interesting or mysterious, and that they can bring about even a little of the positive feelings I have experienced. With this in mind, I use bright colors and hide amusing details somewhere.
Also, so that I don't forget it myself, I draw with a respect for living things and nature as a base.
I would be happy if you could feel even a little of that in the exhibition.
